IPL: Mahendra Singh Dhoni And Rohit Sharma Become Best Captain

A jury comprising 20 former cricketers on Saturday jointly named Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Mumbai Indians' Rohit Sharma as the legendary Indian Premier League (IPL) captains. CSK, led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, reached the playoffs in 10 of 11 seasons and won three titles. At the same time, Mumbai Indians became the four-time IPL champions under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. Rohit is the captain of Mumbai Indians since 2013.

The jury selected former South African batsman AB de Villiers as the all-time greatest batsman (greatest batsman of all time), while veteran Sri Lankan fast bowler Lasith Malinga was named the greatest bowler. Australia's Shane Watson, who played a key role in becoming CSK's champion, won the battle to become the best all-rounder. Chennai Super Kings head coach Stephen Fleming received the title of best coach. He won the fight against Trevor Bellis of Kolkata Knight Riders by a very small margin.

Royal Challengers Bangalore and Team India captain Virat Kohli have adjudged the best Indian batsmen. Virat Kohli defeated Suresh Raina of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the title race by a slight margin. Virat has scored 5412 runs in 177 matches in the IPL so far.
