  • Tomato - 1 (finely chopped)
  • Ghee - 2 to 3 tbsp
  • Coriander - 2 to 3 tablespoons (finely chopped)
  • Cumin seeds - ½ tsp
  • Asafoetida - less than ½ pinch
  • Turmeric powder - 4 tsp
  • Ginger - ½ inch piece (finely chopped)
  • Green chili - 2 (finely chopped)
  • Red chili powder - 4 tsp
  • Garam Masala - 4 teaspoons
  • Salt - As Per Taste Salt
  • Whole hot spices - 7 black pepper and 2 cloves (coarsely ground)

How to Prepare Masala Khichdi Recipe | Vegetable Khichdi Recipe?

To make khichdi recipe, wash basmati rice, and moong dal and soak them in water for ½ hour. Put rice, lentils, and 2.5 cups of water in the cooker and keep them boiling. Let it cook till 1 whistle comes. After this, turn off the gas and let the dal rice cook in it till the pressure of the cooker is over.

Cook and prepare vegetables for khichdi. For this, put 2 tablespoons of ghee in the pan and heat it. When the ghee is hot, add cumin seeds and fry it. After reducing the gas, add asafetida, turmeric powder, ginger, green chili, and whole spices and fry it. Add potatoes to the spices and fry until slightly crunchy. Fry cauliflower and peas in roasted potatoes for 1 minute until they are crushed. Then add capsicum to it and fry for 1 minute. Step 1:- To make Moong Dal Khichdi Recipe at home, first of all, wash rice and green moong dal and soak it in water for half an hour. Now peel the potato and cut it into small pieces and also cut green chilies into small pieces.

Step 2:- After this, place a pressure cooker on medium flame and melt the butter in it. When the butter melts, add fennel seeds and fry it in the butter for a few seconds. Now put green chilies in the cooker and fry till its color turns light brown.
