Misal Pav Recipe at Home

Ingredients for Making Misal Pav Recipe

For this, you need a potato, beans, and pungent paste. It is specially served in the morning breakfast.

Ingredients of Misal Pav

To make the paste:

  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 cup onion, sliced
  • 1 cup tomatoes, sliced
  • 3/4 cup coconut, grated
  • For the sauce or gravy:
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • Hot paste
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp red Chilli paste
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp cumin-coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon-clove powder
  • 3 cups of water

To Make Usal:

  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1/2 tsp asafoetida
  • 1 cup Potatoes (boiled and cut into diced pieces)
  • 1½ cup sprouts (soaked in water)
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon-clove powder
  • Juice of one lemon
  • 3 cups of water
  • Swa salt

To Decorate:

  • onion
  • Farzana (Dry Mixed)
  • coriander leaves
  • For serving:
  • POW
  • Lemon pieces

How to Make Misal Pav Recipe at Home in English with Ginfo4u?

Step: 1. Heat the oil in a pan, add ginger, garlic, and onion paste to it.

Step: 2. Fry it till the paste turns light brown.

Step: 3. Add tomatoes and grated coconut to it. Fry for a few minutes.

Step: 4. After the roasting of the grinder, keep it to cool for a while.

Step: 5. When the mixture cools down, grind it.

For the Sauce and Gravy

Step: 1. Heat the oil in a pan, add the ground paste and fry it for two minutes.

Step: 2. Add salt, garam masala, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin-coriander powder, clove-cinnamon powder, and mix well.

Step: 3. Then add water to it. Cook it until the mixture starts leaving oil from the edges.

Step: 4. When the mixture is roasted, put it in a bowl and keep it on the side.

To Make Usal Pav

Step: 1. Heat the oil in a pan, add ginger paste, garlic paste, and asafetida and fry it well.

Step: 2. Add potatoes including sprouts soaked all night in it.

Step: 3. Add salt, turmeric powder, garam masala, clove-cinnamon powder, and lemon juice to it.

Step: 4. Add water and cook for eight to ten minutes.

Step: 5. Once the mixture is cooked, put it in a bowl and keep it on the side.

Step: 6. To make a mismatch:

Step: 7. In a bowl, first of all, put the Usal medu.

Step: 8. After that add gravy made, add chopped onion, and garnish.

Step: 9. Put coriander leaves on top of it and serve it with a piece of pav and lemon.

Medu Vada Recipe at Home 

Sambar Vada (Samar Vada) is also called Medu Vada, it is South Indian food but it is popular in the whole world, it is very much liked. There is no answer to the Vada of Phule Phule Dal dipped in hot sambar and its pure Indian aroma.

You will also go to eat favorite medu vada, sambar idli, or sambar dosa in your favorite restaurant in the city. You can make sambar vada for breakfast on holiday or for your special guests and for any of your parties. Sambar vada is made with urad dal or by mixing urad and moong dal, or by mixing urad and chana dal.

Ingredients for Medu Vada Recipe

  • Urad Dhuli Dal - 200 grams (1 cup)
  • Moong or Chana Dal - 100 grams (half cup)
  • Salt - (3/4 tablespoon)
  • Ginger - 2-inch long piece (grated)
  • Green chili - 2-4 (finely chopped)
  • Curry leaves or green coriander - 1 tablespoon (chopped)
  • Oil - for deep frying

How to Make (Sambar Wada) Medu Vada Recipe at Home with Ginfo4U?

Wash urad dal and moong dal or chana dal and soak them in water for 3-4 hours or the whole night.

Remove the lentils from the water, wash many times, grind the soaked pulses without adding water, or adding very little water. 

Water should be at least in it. Do not make the lentils too fine.

Mix salt, ginger, green Chilli, and green coriander in the ground lentils and whisk well. The bigger the pulses you get, the softer you will become.

The mixture is ready to make Medu Vada. With this mixture, you can shape the vada on your hands or you can also use a plastic sheet. Banana leaves are also used instead of plastic sheets for making Vadas in South India.

Put oil in the pan and heat it, soak the fingers of the hand with water, lift a little pulse mixture with the soaked fingers, round it and make a hole by biting the thumb or finger of the other hand, frying this vada in hot oil Put for, Put these Vadas in hot oil for frying, make 3-4 Vadas according to the oil in the frying pan and fry them at once, flip the Vadas when the bottom surface is brown and fry both the sides till they turn brown. 

Fry all the Medu Vada and remove them in this way. All the Vadas are ready.

Before eating, put the vada in the prepared hot sambar Medu Vada, serve and eat. Serve and eat vadas with coconut chutney or peanut chutney or roasted chickpea sauce.
