Ingredients for Veg Cutlet Recipe

  • Potatoes - 250 to 300 grams (4 medium sized)
  • Capsicum - 1 (finely chopped)
  • Cauliflower - 1/2 cup (finely chopped)
  • Cauliflower - 1/2 cup (finely chopped)
  • Carrot - 1/2 cup (grated)
  • Maida - 2 tbsp
  • Black pepper powder - less than 4 teaspoons
  • Mango powder - 4 teaspoons
  • Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
  • Ginger - 1 inch piece (grated) or 1 tsp paste
  • Green chili - 1-2 (finely chopped)
  • Salt - 1 tsp or flavored
  • Red chili powder - less than 4 teaspoons
  • Coriander - 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
  • Bread Slices - 6
  • Oil - for frying cutlets

How to Make Vegetable Cutlet Kerala Style at Home?

Step :- Peel the potatoes. Break the peeled potatoes finely by hand. 

Step :- Break the bread into a mixer jar and grind it to make powder.

Step :- Add carrots, cauliflower, cabbage, capsicum, green chillies, ginger paste, coriander powder, mango powder, red chilli powder to the finely broken potatoes. Also, add 1/4 teaspoon salt to the flour mixture and add the remaining salt to it. 

Step :- Put 3 pieces of bread powder in this mixture and mix everything well. 

Step :- Add green coriander to it and mix it. The mixture is ready.

Step :- To make a mixture of refined flour, add a little water to the flour and make a thin batter until the kernels are finished.

Step :- About 1/4 cup of water will pour into it. Add black pepper and remaining salt to the batter and mix.

Step :- With the help of fingers, take out a small amount of pithi from the pit, prepare the cutlet by pressing it with a hand, giving it a round or oval shape, dip this cutlet in the flour mixture and then wrap it well in the bread powder. Likewise prepare all cutlets and keep them in a plate.

Step :- Put oil in the pan and heat it. To check whether the oil is hot or not, try adding a little piece of cutlet, if the oil is hot then it rises up quickly. 

Step :- Put 3-4 cutlets in hot oil one by one and fry them. When the cutlets turn brown on both the sides, spread paper towels in the plate and take them out from the fried pan and keep them on it. Prepare all the cutlets in this way.

Step :- Hot crispy veg cutlets are ready. Serve and eat veg cutlets with green coriander chutney or tomato sauce.

Puran Poli Recipe in English

It is a traditional sweet dish made in Maharashtra. Pooran poli is made in many types, but mainly puran poli of gram dal is more popular.

Ingreditents for Puran Poli Recipe at Home

For the dough:-

  • Refined flour - 1/2 cup
  • Wheat flour - 1/2 cup
  • Salt - less than 1/4 tsp

For filling:-

  • Chana Dal - 1/2 cup
  • Sugar - 1/3 cup (65 grams)
  • Jaggery - 1/3 cup (65 grams)
  • Cardamom - 4 (grind and make powder)
  • Ghee

How to Make Puran Poli Recipe at Home in English?

Step :- Soak chickpea lentils in water for 4 to 5 hours first and after that, take out excess water from it.

Step :- Put flour and maida in any canoe. Add salt and 2 tsp ghee to it. 

Step :- Mix all the ingredients well. With the help of lukewarm water knead soft dough. 

Step :- Cover the dough to set for 15 to 20 minutes.

Step :- To prepare the filling, put dal and 2 to 3 tablespoons of water in the cooker and keep it to boil.

Step :- After one whistle, turn off the gas and after the pressure of the cooker is over, take the pulses out of the cooker and put it in a bowl.

Step :- After the lentils cool down, put them in a mixer jar and grind them finely.

Step :- After grinding the lentils, make puran to fill in the puran poli. For this, heat a pan.

Step :- Put 2 spoons of ghee in the pan. Break jaggery in ghee and cook it till it melts.

Step :- After the jaggery melts, add ground lentils to it and mix it well and cook it. 

Step :- Pooran is roasted Add cardamom powder to it and mix. Turn off the gas Puran is ready.

Step :- The dough is also set. Crush the dough a little and make it smooth and prepare the dough by breaking it. Make small size of lemon and make a round. 

Step :- Take a little dry flour and wrap it in dry flour and roll it into 3 to 4 inches diameter. Keep the griddle hot.

Step :- Take as much Puran or flour as possible, or divide it into seven parts as we have made dough.

Step :- Take a portion of a Puran and keep it in the center of the poori. Pick up the rolled puri from all sides and close the puran properly. 

Step :- This is absolutely a stuffing paratha. Press it slightly with the palm so that the Puran spreads well evenly and wrap it again in dry flour and roll out into a diameter of 7 to 8 inches. 

Step :- Roll it out while giving it a little pressure. If you press it with more pressure then it may explode.

Step :- First spread a little ghee on the pan and spread it around and put the Puran Poli on the hot pan. 

Step :- When the pooran poli gets roasted from the lower surface, then flip it over. Add some ghee and apply it around it and then flip it over. 

Step :- Pour some ghee on this side as well and roast the Puran Poli on medium flame till it becomes brown on both the sides. Meanwhile, take the second Puran Poli.

Step :- After browning both ways, remove the Puran Poli from the pan and keep it on a plate kept on a plate.

Step :- Similarly, take another Puran Poli. Apply a little bit of ghee and apply a little pressure, roast the pooran poli till it turns brown.

Step :- We have prepared crisp from above and soft pooran poli from inside. 

Step :- Seven pooran polis are prepared with one cup of flour. These pooran polis can be eaten for 2 to 3 days. 

Step :- Serve the pooran poli with chutney, pickle or your favorite vegetable.
